Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in New York. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. The nurse will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, with an emphasis on acute and trauma care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid NY State Registered Nurse (RN) license and all other RN licenses, current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification, at least two years of emergency department (ED) experience with some pediatric experience, documented travel experience, valid driver's license with address matching demographics, and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system EPIC.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse capability is highly preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Unit Specifics: The unit handles common patient diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialized equipment includes rapid infusors and Arctic Sun.
  • Patients: Care for newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Additional Information: Up-to-date resume required. Travel experience is mandatory. Scrub color is navy blue. The unit contains 64 beds, including triage, acute, super track, trauma, critical care unit (CCU), and psychiatric patients.
