• Setting: 64-bed Emergency Department with triage, acute care, trauma, CDU, and psych areas
• Floating: Yes
• Charge Opportunity: Highly preferred

Job Requirements

• Active New York Registered Nurse license
• 2+ years of Emergency Department or ER nursing experience, including some pediatric experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• TNCC must be in hand at the time of submission
• Experience using Epic EMR required
• Completed skills checklist that aligns with the specialty
• Driver’s license with an address matching demographics
• Strong ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Support rapid interventions and emergency treatment using specialized equipment such as rapid infusers and Arctic Sun
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Float as needed to support departmental patient care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and efficient patient flow in Epic
• Promote a safe, organized, and compassionate environment for every patient encounter
