Job Summary: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position available in the Maine area. This position involves providing critical care and emergency services in a busy and evolving ED environment. The role requires adapting to workflow changes due to ongoing facility construction and supporting a team-oriented atmosphere focused on patient safety and quality care.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), and NICH (National Institute of Health Certification). A minimum of 2 to 5 years of Emergency Department or Critical Care experience is preferred; 1 year of travel experience required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with emergency and critical care patients, strong communication, documentation skills, team approach personality, flexibility, and professionalism in attire.
Additional Information: The ED is a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center, currently under construction, requiring flexibility to adapt to workflow changes. There are 20 beds planned, including 3 behavioral health beds within a secured unit, and 2 triage rooms. The unit emphasizes teamwork, excellent communication, and documentation skills.
