Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Southern California Located in a vibrant suburban area near Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean, this role offers an opportunity to deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment. The position involves supervising nursing staff, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy, 1 year of experience in emergency care, experience with EPIC system, and ability to work nights.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: The nurse will be responsible for collecting relevant patient data, analyzing assessment data, developing and implementing care plans, and providing education to patients and families. Participation in discharge planning and delegation are essential parts of this role.
