Job Summary Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) in the Emergency Room department, working in a fast-paced environment. This role involves triaging, assessing, and providing immediate emergency care to patients with a range of medical conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening situations. The ER RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current RN license in Oregon; ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required; graduate of an accredited nursing school; no minimum years of experience required, but previous clinical experience preferred
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments upon arrival
Prioritize patients based on injury severity
Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and emergency treatments
Monitor patient responses and vital signs continuously
Collaborate with medical staff to provide rapid and effective care
Document treatment and patient responses accurately
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and follow-up
Respond to emergency situations such as rapid response calls and code blue situations
Follow all infection control protocols
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Support the organizations mission, vision, and policies
May be floated to other departments as qualified
