Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in New York This position involves providing essential emergency nursing services in a state-of-the-art emergency care center. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including assessment, treatment, and stabilization of patients with urgent and chronic medical conditions.
Job Details
Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross) required; NY license required for auto offer; a minimum of 2 years of ER experience required for auto offer; prior travel experience preferred but not required.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift, 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities include evaluation and stabilization of illness and trauma, diagnosis and treatment of patients with medical, surgical, dental, and emotional needs. Unit specifics include Drips, Infusions, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, EKGs, Transports, and medication administration.
Unit specifics: 70-bed unit, 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, serving a diverse population.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Submission Requirements: Recent NY license or ability to screen without, and Nursys verification is preferred.
