Job Summary Emergency Room Nurse in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This position involves providing urgent care in a Level 1 Trauma Center within a tertiary care hospital. The role offers an opportunity to work in a highly technological facility with diverse patient populations and a comprehensive range of specialties to support critical care delivery.
Job Details
Schedule: Shifts vary, upon interview the director will inquire about the candidate's shift preference.
Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, PALS, and CEN certifications are preferred; minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; must have completed all PA clearances including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting within the last two years, and PA State Police Clearance. Candidates must have a valid work permit for Pennsylvania.
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience and critical care background are preferred.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The position is located in the Emergency Department with 40 beds, treating all patient populations. The candidate must adhere to scrubs dress code; scrub color is flexible. Weekly orientation sessions are held on Mondays. The minimum weekly guarantee is 40 hours, with a typical schedule of 8 hours per shift. Candidates should be prepared to meet all screening and clearance requirements prior to start date of 08/31/2026.
