Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Big Sky, Montana. This position involves providing patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse), American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification, American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification, competence in and a willingness to practice modified primary nursing, 1 year emergency nursing or critical care experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
- Essential Job Functions: Collects comprehensive patient data, analyzes assessment outcomes, develops and implements individualized care plans, promotes health and safety, collaborates with patients and families, and integrates ethical and research considerations into practice.
- Stroke Competency: Compliance with hospital policies and participation in annual stroke and trauma-related education.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, professionalism, ability to thrive in a busy environment, decision-making skills, confidentiality, emotional intelligence, and effective teamwork.
- Schedule Requirements: Regular attendance with potential for working beyond standard hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, twist, reach, push, pull, and perform fine-finger movements continuously. Visual and cognitive skills necessary for data analysis and decision-making.
- Exposures: Bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations.
- Additional Information: Facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census or unforeseen circumstances. Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to qualify for this position.
