Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) Nurse at a healthcare organization located in the community. This position involves providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The role emphasizes patient safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and quality improvement practices consistent with organizational standards.
Job Details:
Schedule: NIGHT SHIFT, 7PM-7:30AM, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: NYS RN License, BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Certification, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN program. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; travel experience of 1 year preferred for travel positions. EPIC experience highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: PALS Certification, ACLS Certification, NIHSS Certification, EPIC Experience, Service Recovery skills, Accurate Documentation, Patient Throughput expertise, Ethical Decision Making, Professional Communication, Modified Primary Nursing knowledge, Evidence-Based Practice, Quality Improvement, Process Improvement, High Reliability Principles, Charge Nurse Duties, Resource Management, Scholarship and Inquiry, Lifelong Learning.
Additional Information: The role involves performing charge nurse duties, coordinating supply and resource management, and facilitating patient throughput. The nurse will contribute to the environment of care and advancements in clinical competence through ongoing education and departmental involvement.
