Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Bakersfield, California. This position involves providing acute care to patients within the emergency department setting. Under the supervision of a nurse leader, the nurse will independently perform nursing assessments, establish care plans, and coordinate intervention strategies to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes. Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shifts, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License); 3 years of clinical experience in emergency care; NIHSS certification; current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) cards; knowledge of advanced nursing practices, medical terminology, and medication administration.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working specifically within California emergency department settings; familiarity with emergency nursing protocols and team collaboration.
- Additional Information: The nurse will be expected to work independently while collaborating effectively within the care team. Clinical duties include patient assessment, nursing care coordination, critical thinking, and adherence to evidence-based practices. The position requires maintaining health requirements as designated by the healthcare provider and possessing specific certifications of competency where applicable.
