Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in an emergency department setting. The role involves providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients. The selected candidate will be working night shifts and must be adaptable to floating across different units within the department.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid drivers licenses with address matching demographics; current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications; up-to-date resume demonstrating at least 2 years of experience in emergency department settings with some pediatric experience; documentation of travel experience; active New York license; Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience; RTO to be included at submission.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Charge capability experience highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: Floating may be required; common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure; department utilizes rapid infusor and Arctic Sun equipment; patient population includes newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics; department beds include 64 total with specific units for triage, acute care, super track, trauma, clinical decision unit, and psychiatric care; common drips and medications include pressors such as Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, vasodilators like Cleviprex, Cardene, nitroglycerin, anti-arrhythmic agents including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine, sedation drugs such as Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, thrombolytic (TNK), Heparin, and Insulin.
