Emergency Room (ER) Nursing Specialist Located in the Central Valley region, this role involves delivering coordinated nursing care in an acute care setting within an organization serving multiple rural communities. The position requires supervising and directing nursing staff, collaborating across disciplines, and ensuring quality patient care aligned with established standards.

Job Details

• Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
• Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Acute care facility experience preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required. Facility specific Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Department specific certifications include AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), ARC- Advanced Life Support (ALS), AHA-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or ARC-PALS.
• Shift: Rotating, 8 hours shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients health or situation, analyzes assessment data, develops and implements care plans, evaluates progress, and collaborates with the healthcare team to provide a safe, healing, and humane environment. Provides education to patients and families, participates in discharge planning, delegates tasks appropriately, and performs other related duties as assigned.
• Organizational Requirements: All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons. Adventist Health participates in E-Verify for employment verification.
