Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care facility specializing in emergency services. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and efficient workflow management. This position requires adaptable, skilled nurses capable of critical thinking and rapid decision-making.
Job Details:
Schedule: Rotating shifts of 12 hours, including 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 5p-5a, and 7p-7a, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
Valid California licensure as a BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience
Demonstrated experience with EPIC electronic health record system
3-5 years of ER experience, with some trauma and pediatric experience
Additional Information:
The emergency department averages a daily patient census of approximately 190-200 patients, with rapid patient discharge and frequent inpatient admissions
Nurses should possess critical thinking skills to manage a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
The patient demographic tends to be well-educated and vocal about quality of care, emphasizing the importance of nursing excellence and patient experience
