Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse - Lisbon, North Dakota. This acute care position involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced ER setting, handling trauma, stroke, STEMI, and respiratory cases. The role requires strong teamwork, communication, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation; minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active license to practice as a registered nurse; at least 1 year of ER experience; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); clinical experience in Critical Access facilities is highly preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience, experience with Heparin and Levophed drips, proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips.
- Responsibilities: Manage a variety of acute patient conditions such as traumas, strokes, chest pains, respiratory issues, and more. Administer and monitor central lines and drips; collaborate with nursing staff, including nurse aides, EMTs, and paramedics; provide patient care across ER and Med-Surg units, with float to swing beds as needed.
- Shift & Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, scheduled between 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; self/team scheduling is permitted.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float between ER, Med-Surg, and Swing Bed units; must have teamwork and adaptability skills; no full-time, part-time, or PRN candidates related to certain facilities; RTO requests are limited to up to 7 days within a 13-week contract.
