Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Specialist The position is located in an emergency department setting. This role involves providing urgent care services, with an emphasis on rapid response and critical patient assessment. The assignment is for a period of approximately three months, supporting operational needs in a high-acuity environment.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours weekly
Required Qualifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and minimum 2 years of in-unit ER experience. EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the past 2 years is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience highly preferred. Previous travel experience is requiredat least one travel assignment.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The assignment involves working in both the Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical units, with potential for full emergency department assignments. Travelers must work 2 out of 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day. This position requires flexibility to meet the needs of the facility and patient care, including schedule adjustments and weekend coverage. All employment gaps over 90 days should be explained.
