Job Title: Endoscopy Technician Profession: Endoscopy Technician Specialty: Endoscopy Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 7:15 AM - 3:45 PM, with a rotating day of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: SGNA or CBSPD preferred, BLS required Must-Have: - Experience as a GI Technician in Endoscopy - Proficiency in Olympus scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing Description: Endoscopy Technician position available for a 40-hour work week. The shift schedule includes Monday through Friday, from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM with a rotating day of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The unit consists of 8 rooms with 3 MAC and 5 Conscious Sedation procedures, as well as holding and recovery rooms. It operates on weekdays, with on-call requirements for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The clinician-to-patient ratio is 1:1 in procedural rooms and 1:2-3 in the PACU. Patient population includes all types. There are 18 PACU bays and 8 procedural rooms. The average census is 60-70 procedures per day. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC. Floating to other units is not required. Rotating shifts may be necessary, as the department hours extend from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
