  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks

  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay: $1950 to $2150
Responsibilities
  • Prepare endoscopy procedure rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and necessary supplies
  • Assist physicians and nursing staff during upper GI endoscopies, colonoscopies, ERCPs, bronchoscopies, and other endoscopic procedures
  • Prepare and position patients while ensuring their comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the procedure
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain endoscopy equipment, processors, and video systems
  • Perform high-level disinfection and reprocessing of flexible endoscopes in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and infection control standards
  • Assist with specimen collection, labeling, documentation, and transport to the laboratory
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock endoscopy supplies and equipment
  • Assist with patient transport, positioning, and recovery room support as needed
  • Complete accurate procedure documentation and equipment maintenance records
  • Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental quality standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, sterile processing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an Endoscopy Technician program preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy Technician experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing and high-level disinfection required
  • Knowledge of gastrointestinal procedures, endoscopy instrumentation, and procedural workflows
  • Strong understanding of infection prevention and sterilization practices
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
