Key Responsibilities
Apply principles of aseptic technique to equipment preparation, maintenance, and procedural assistance, identifying any potential compromise to sterile or High-Level Disinfection integrity throughout procedures.
Disassemble and inspect endoscopes and accessories; perform all pre-cleaning requirements including leak testing, cleaning, High-Level Disinfection (HLD), and identification of needed repairs in accordance with regulatory standards and established protocols.
Determine appropriate High-Level Disinfection methods based on material and manufacturer instructions; check and calibrate equipment according to established protocols.
Store reprocessed endoscopes and accessories following facility protocols for equipment storage.
Perform ambulatory technician duties as assigned, including obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients.
Required Qualifications
Prior travel assignment experience required; candidates must have completed at least one travel assignment to be eligible.
No specific licensure or certifications required for the role.
