Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Equipment Maintenance/Repair, Identify Issues, Infection Control, Laboratory Analysis, Medical Treatment, Sample/Specimen Processing, Specimen Collection
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in procedure room with patient positioning, ensuring comfort and safety
- Collect and handle specimens accurately for laboratory analysis
- Perform bedside precleaning of scopes to maintain infection control
- Set up and break down endoscopic equipment efficiently
- Restock procedure rooms to ensure readiness for next cases
- Assist in gastric lab with esophageal motility studies if experienced
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of previous GI tech experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ambulatory environment
- Flexibility to float occasionally to other locations (Federal Way, Bellevue, Lynnwood)
Knowledge & Skills
- Endoscopy procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Patient positioning and specimen collection techniques
- Scope precleaning and reprocessing protocols
- Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
