Description

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy RN for a 13-week contract requiring airway management and PACU experience in a busy endoscopy center.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Methodist Endoscopy Center with 4 procedure rooms and 9 PACU bays
• Unit staffed with 8 RNs, 5 techs, 1 X-ray technician, and 1 transport staff
• PACU patient ratio of 1 nurse per 2 patients
• Uses airway management equipment
• Charting performed in Meditech EMR
• 4x10 schedule, Monday through Friday, 0630-1700
• Floating to PACU required
• Rotating weekday and weekend call required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Airway management and PACU experience required
• GI experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform endoscopy procedures as part of a collaborative care team
• Energetic personality fit preferred for this fast-paced unit
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
