Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring at least 1 year of GI/Endoscopy experience and ACLS, BLS, NIH, and CPI certifications.

Details

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital that also serves a prison population
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Floating required to other outpatient clinics within the same building for basic outpatient admissions
• On-call required approximately once per month
• Cerner charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active TN state RN license or compact multi-state license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
• Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy experience required
• Experience with post-procedure care and recovery from conscious sedation
• Experience with GI procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD
• Skilled in circulating, administering and monitoring conscious sedation, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, and specimen handling/labeling

• Must be comfortable providing care to a prison population
• Provide nursing care across a range of GI/Endoscopy procedures and outpatient clinic visits as needed
