Interventional GI Lab Technician – Travel Assignment

Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Schedule: Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours/Week
Shift Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Interventional GI Lab Technician to support physicians during advanced gastrointestinal procedures. The technician will prepare procedure rooms, maintain specialized endoscopy equipment, assist with diagnostic and therapeutic GI interventions, and ensure efficient patient care in a high-volume GI Lab.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare procedure rooms, endoscopy equipment, and instruments for scheduled GI procedures.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional gastrointestinal procedures.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain endoscopy equipment and accessories.
  • Ensure proper cleaning, high-level disinfection, and storage of endoscopic instruments according to infection control standards.
  • Monitor and stock procedural supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to departmental policies and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to provide safe and efficient patient care.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional GI Lab Technician experience.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Experience assisting with advanced GI/endoscopy procedures in an acute care or hospital-based GI Lab preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of endoscopy equipment, sterile technique, and infection prevention practices.

Assignment Requirements

  • No local candidates within 50 miles.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Duration: 13 weeks.
