Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Registered Nurse with a passion for providing high-quality patient care. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for monitoring and executing complex procedures related to cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablation, pacemaker insertion, and lead extraction.
• Conduct baseline measurements and conduction studies.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures and post-operative care.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 4x10 days, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 AM to 06:30 PM.
• On-call Requirements: Participate in weekday and weekend call rotation every two months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience required.
• Must possess current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with Epic EMR system is required.
• Prior experience in Electrophysiology Lab preferred.
• A Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing, Biology, or Chemistry is required. Candidates with degrees in other fields must provide a high school diploma.

• Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal
• Arrhythmia Induction
• Cardiac Mapping
• Cardioversion
• Insertion/Programming of AICDs
• Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure
