Job Summary: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technician position located in Austin, Texas. This contract role spans 13 weeks and involves working dayshift hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The technician will support procedures and operations within the electrophysiology lab, contributing to patient care and equipment management.
Job Details:
Schedule: Dayshift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist), and ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists); applicable licensing as required; minimum of 1 year cath lab or electrophysiology scrub experience; 0 years minimum experience otherwise.
Preferred Qualifications: More than 1 year of scrub experience in cath lab or electrophysiology lab.

Department: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab (Facility Department Number: 747)
Unit Type: EP Labs with 6 beds, staffed with 28 personnel including nurses, scrub technicians, charge nurse, and patient care technicians (PCTs)
Shift Details: Day shift (6:30 AM 5:00 PM)
Patient Ratios: Varies depending on procedures, typically 1:1 or 1:2 during complex cases
Equipment: Electrophysiology mapping systems including Carto, Abbott, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, along with associated tools
Dress Code: Blue scrubs provided by the facility; unacceptable attire includes casual or revealing clothing
Unit Policies and guidelines are available upon request.
