Job Title: EP Monitoring Tech Profession: Technologist Specialty: Electrophysiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 hours Hours per Shift: Primarily days with some late nights and on-call as needed Experience: 2 years License: RCES or Radiologic Tech license required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only) required Must-Have: Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience preferred but not required. GE (MacLab & CardioLab) system experience preferred but not required. Bloom stimulator experience preferred but not required. Description: The Electrophysiology Monitoring Tech will provide assistance during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implants. The tech will assist the Electrophysiologist by ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available. The ability to implement EP pacing monoverses and understanding is required. The tech will work with mapping systems, coordinating with in-room staff to ensure timely patient care. Responsibilities include facilitating room turnover and on-time starts for procedures. The tech will communicate with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors to confirm team member availability for scheduled procedures. Typical procedures performed include RF ablations and device implants such as pacemakers and ICDs. The ideal candidate will be a patient-focused and team-driven professional. A proactive and positive work environment is essential. Experience with EP pacing monitoring and documentation is preferred.
