Description:
The Cardiovascular Technologist will assist physicians with all invasive cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
This includes temporary and permanent pacemaker placement.
The Cardiovascular Technologist will also assist with circulatory support devices as needed.
The role involves preparing and organizing specific equipment and sterile trays for each procedure.
Assisting the procedure room team with the positioning and preparation of patient monitoring is essential.
The technologist will calibrate and test transducers for accurate pressure readings.
Assistance to physicians throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures is required.
The role involves loading and operating a power injector and associated sterile support equipment.
Maneuvering table controls for physicians as requested is part of the job.
The technologist will calibrate hemodynamic monitoring equipment and analyze hemodynamic data.
Calculating and recording cardiac output and oximetry readings is necessary.
Utilization and maintenance of digital cine technologies, including storage and retrieval of patient's images and hemodynamic records, is expected.
Assisting with vascular access, sheath removal, and hemostatic closure devices while maintaining hemostasis at the access site is required.
Inventory control and preparation of required equipment for each procedure are necessary responsibilities.
Adhering to practice requirements related to Clinical Cardiovascular Information Systems is important.
Operating equipment safely and preparing it for use is essential.
Participation in catheterization lab on-call responsibilities is required.
Application of radial access banding while maintaining hemostasis is part of the role.
Recognizing and interpreting all cardiac arrhythmias is necessary for the job.
Assisting with the maintenance and routine evaluation of all diagnostic and technical equipment is expected.
Weekends may be required as needed.
Holidays may be required as needed.
On-call responsibilities are required.
