Key Responsibilities of the Electrophysiology Tech - Cath Lab Technologist- Assist in all aspects of invasive procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters
- Operate radiologic and interventional equipment ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
- Acquire, process, and transfer images to the PACS system
- Prepare, position, and assist patients during procedures for safety and comfort
- Apply radiation safety principles, including shielding and exposure minimization
- Coordinate workflow to enhance patient care efficiency
- Assist physicians with administration of contrast media
- Maintain inventory and participate in equipment safety and maintenance
- Provide patient education relevant to the procedure
- Demonstrate proficiency in computerized informatics systems
Requirements of the Electrophysiology Tech - Cath Lab Technologist- High school graduate or GED
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Massachusetts
- Minimum of two years post-technical school radiology work experience or as a Special Procedures Technologist
- Successful completion of on-the-job training within six months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
