• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Setting: 12-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Work Environment: Specialized care in a newly established unit with a strong focus on comfort, dignity, symptom relief, and palliative nursing care

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience required
• Current experience in the specialty area is required
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred/required per unit needs
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with IV starts, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Ability to work within a patient ratio of 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Must be comfortable floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses
• Support symptom management for pain, nausea, fatigue, and other distressing conditions
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes and patient needs
• Deliver evidence-based care aligned with palliative and comfort-focused goals
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
• Perform assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services to promote quality outcomes
• Float as needed within comparable units to support staffing and patient care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all unit procedures
