- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830 - $1,930
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Patient Ratio: 1:3.5
- Charting/Equipment: EPIC, Pyxis
- Weekend Requirement: Every other or every third weekend
- Float: Required
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required
- Experience with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified setting preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor reference
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in the Emergency Department
- Perform triage and prioritize care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize emergent changes, and respond appropriately
- Administer emergency medications and support procedural sedation monitoring
- Care for trauma, stroke, STEMI, psychiatric, and medically complex patients
- Manage ventilated patients and support advanced ED interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote efficient patient flow and optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols, including float and weekend coverage as assigned
