Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Nurse – Columbia, MO 65201

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbia, Missouri

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; 36 guaranteed hours per week; 91-day assignment through December 21, 2026

Highlights:

• Fast-paced adult community emergency department with 16 beds and approximately 25,000 annual visits
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 with high admission rate
• Focus on stroke, STEMI, sepsis, respiratory and cardiac diseases, and orthopedic care
• Minimal trauma or pediatric cases; primarily adult emergency care
• Competitive compensation including overtime, callback, and holiday differential rates

Requirements:

• Active RN license with Emergency Department nursing certification
• 3-5 years of emergency department experience preferred
• Strong line management skills including IV insertion and PICC/central line management
• Cardiac skills: 12-lead EKG acquisition, telemetry interpretation, cardioversion/defibrillation
• Airway management skills: procedural sedation, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, trach care
• Experience with chemical dependency and behavioral health patients preferred
• Outstanding customer service and team collaboration abilities
