Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care and support in a fast-paced environment, floating between two emergency departments as required. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in trauma care, with prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center and familiarity with handling various urgent medical situations.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in emergency settings.
• Float between different emergency departments as needed.
• Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Collaborate with medical and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to provide effective care in high-pressure situations.
• Document patient care accurately and timely following established protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 24 months of recent emergency department experience (within the last 12 months preferred).
• Must have prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Experience in a hospital with 500+ beds is preferred.
• Current certifications in TNCC, BLS, ACLS, and PALS from approved organizations are required.
• No hits on state license to practice.
• Valid driver’s license for residency verification.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be willing to float to similar units or sister locations as necessary.
• Flexibility in scheduling and department assignments is essential.
• Must be able to begin employment on the specified start date or shortly thereafter.
