Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Great Barrington, MA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active MA RN license in hand.

Details

  • Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • 36-hour workweek on a 13-week contract
  • Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Critical Access Hospital and MA DPH Primary Stroke Center designation
  • Emergency Department setting within a Joint Commission-accredited community hospital
  • Meditech Expanse EMR — experience highly preferred
  • ED Triage and Cardiac Room experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience required
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
  • BSN preferred
  • IV Certification preferred
  • ENPC and CEN preferred
  • Must have a personal vehicle available for this assignment
  • 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment required
  • ED Skills Checklist current within 1 year required

Additional Information

  • Functions independently under general guidance of the Director, following unit-specific guidelines, protocols, and policies
  • Must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and maintain emotional stability in emergency settings
  • Utilizes time management, communication, planning, delegating, and problem-solving in daily patient care
  • Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • All RTO requests (no more than 5 days) must be submitted at the time of application — requests made after offer or during the interview process will not be approved
  • Two specific interview dates and times of availability must be provided at time of consideration
