Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Great Barrington, MA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active MA RN license in hand.
Details
- Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36-hour workweek on a 13-week contract
- Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Critical Access Hospital and MA DPH Primary Stroke Center designation
- Emergency Department setting within a Joint Commission-accredited community hospital
- Meditech Expanse EMR — experience highly preferred
- ED Triage and Cardiac Room experience preferred
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
- BSN preferred
- IV Certification preferred
- ENPC and CEN preferred
- Must have a personal vehicle available for this assignment
- 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment required
- ED Skills Checklist current within 1 year required
Additional Information
- Functions independently under general guidance of the Director, following unit-specific guidelines, protocols, and policies
- Must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and maintain emotional stability in emergency settings
- Utilizes time management, communication, planning, delegating, and problem-solving in daily patient care
- Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- All RTO requests (no more than 5 days) must be submitted at the time of application — requests made after offer or during the interview process will not be approved
