Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 14, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratio of 4:1. Two weekend shifts required per contract.

Highlights:

• Emergency Department position at a busy facility with 100+ daily visits and 22 treatment rooms
• Flexible scheduling with 36 or 48-hour weekly options
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Experience with high-acuity cases including STEMI, stroke, DKA, and trauma patients
• 91-day assignment with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience and certifications

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1-2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (must be in hand at submission)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Willingness to float to like units within scope as needed
