Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring a valid OK or compact RN license and prior charge nurse experience.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations
• STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30-7:00
• 36-hour work week required
• Weekend shifts required
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4
• Epic charting system used, experience preferred
• Floating to like units within scope required as needed, with brief unit orientation provided

Requirements

• Valid OK or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, with required similar ED experience for first-time travelers
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Broad ED skill set including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric care

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of patient conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO auto-approved, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Locals within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have required similar ED experience
