Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Department

Position Summary

This position is for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to work in the Emergency Department, providing critical care and support for patients in need. The role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and effective communication to manage patient assessments and care efficiently.

Shift Information

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No floating between departments

Requirements

• Current RN Licensure
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• CPI certification (may be obtained on-site after contract start)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department
• Competency in critical care assessment and management, IV skills, and cardiac monitoring

Scope of Practice

The RN will be responsible for the following duties:

• Triage of patients in the Emergency Department
• Conducting thorough patient assessments
• Utilizing nursing skills, including IV/IO access, chest tube management, and catheterization
• Comfortability with critical care drip management

Unit Information

This position supports a unit with:

• 16 beds
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 4:1 (variable)
