Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of recent Emergency Room RN experience required
• 18 months of combined perm experience in the specialty is required
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to excel in a high-volume emergency department environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients across a wide range of acuity levels
• Perform thorough assessments, triage patients, and respond quickly to changing clinical conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient status, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient care
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with unit and facility standards
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ER nursing setting
