Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a community hospital emergency department requiring TX or compact RN license and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Epic charting system required
• Community hospital setting

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• TNCC preferred
• Skilled in emergency care across pediatrics, psychiatric, IV therapy, respiratory, neurological, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with trauma care including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputation preferred
• Experience with EKG/ECG interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• State-issued ID required prior to consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of medical, surgical, psychiatric, and trauma presentations
• Facility is STEMI and Stroke certified
• Perform triage, splinting, and orthopedic trauma care as needed
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request approved during Nov-Jan holiday season, subject to management approval prior to contract signing
• Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
