Join our team as an ER Registered Nurse in Adrian, MI, at a leading acute-care hospital. This contract position in the Emergency Department (ER) offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing care to a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities:

• Float within service line/scope of practice as needed.
• Provide care for an average daily census of 76 patients across 27 rooms, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Assess and manage patients presenting with various chief complaints, including chest pain, shortness of breath, mental health evaluations, OB/GYN emergencies, sepsis, stroke, abdominal pain, sprains/strains/fractures, trauma, and cardiac arrest.
• Utilize specialized procedures and unit details, including a 27-bed ED, rural hospital services, and primary stroke center capabilities.
• Work with a dedicated team of 24/7 board-certified ED providers, charge nurses, triage nurses, and house supervisors.
• Manage critical situations in designated resuscitation rooms and mental health preferred rooms.

Required Skills:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Blood product administration and central line care/management.
• Phlebotomy and starting IVs.
• Continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.
• Procedural sedation administration and management of CVA, neuro-trauma, and traumatic brain injuries.
• Experience with ortho-trauma, head injuries, CPAP/BiPAP, interpretation of ABGs, and ventilated patients.
• Ability to handle cases involving gunshot wounds and isolation precautions.
• Triage experience is required.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Must have an active Michigan RN license in hand.
• ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
• Unit accepts first-time travelers; local travelers (50 miles or less) are not accepted.
