Travel ER RN Job Details

Emergency Room RN Requirements

• Active Oklahoma RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required in hand
• At least 1 year of relevant emergency nursing or acute care nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience charting in Epic strongly preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and a self-scheduled assignment
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and comfort with high-acuity patient care

Emergency Department Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care in a busy emergency department
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients across all age groups, including pediatrics and adults
• Respond to a wide range of emergency presentations, from medical concerns to trauma-related cases
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, blood products, and emergency interventions as needed
• Support patients requiring airway management, cardiac monitoring, and stabilization services
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response, and other support services
• Maintain a calm, professional approach in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency room environment
