Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Details

  • General Emergency Department serving a combined adult and pediatric population
  • Night shifts, 7p-7a (3x12), with the option to flex to 4x12 when needed or available
  • Minimum every other weekend (EOW) requirement, plus holiday coverage
  • Meditech EMR — experience preferred but not required
  • Floating within the hospital may be required

Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required (at minimum pending with a clear ETA)
  • Required certifications (all via AHA): BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Preferred certifications: CPI/CIC
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required; 3 years preferred
  • Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and starting/maintaining IVs
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV vasopressors, and neurological/CVA care
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Valid driver's license and Social Security card required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, neurological assessment, administration of IV vasopressors, and adherence to isolation precautions/PPE protocols
  • First-time travelers with 3+ years of ER experience will be considered
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility — in any capacity — are not eligible for this position
  • Local candidates are accepted with no change to the pay structure
  • Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Travelers who remain on assignment beyond 3 months may have the opportunity to obtain CPI certification on-site
  • Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
