Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and EPIC EMR proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30
• Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend but subject to change based on facility need
• Floating to other units or campuses required based on census needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated
• Uses EPIC for documentation and Omnicell for medication dispensing

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI/MAB, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
• At least 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Patient ratio experience of 1:4-5
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care to a broad range of patient acuities and presentations
• Orientation held every Monday, with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on relevant experience
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from every facility within the health system to be eligible, with reduced eligibility at 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift applicants for this specialty must reside 50+ miles from the contracted campus, with reduced eligibility between 50-99.9 miles and ineligibility under 50 miles
