Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Critical Access Hospital requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital setting caring for both ED and Acute Swing Bed patients
• Combined adult and pediatric emergency department
• 3x12 hour shifts available on both day (6:15-17:45) and night (17:45-6:15) schedules
• Cerner charting system experience required
• No floating required unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer

Requirements

• Active MT or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• 1+ year of ER experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Experience with pediatric and adult emergency conditions including abdominal pain, asthma, burns, head injury, seizures, and respiratory infections
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation
• Experience with orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• References required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for a mix of emergency department and acute swing bed patients in a community hospital setting
• Located in Townsend, Montana, offering access to Big Sky/Yellowstone Country
• Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles for local rate consideration; local candidates not accepted at travel rate
• Background checks with license or BG hits considered on a case-by-case basis
• Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before applying
