Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring NC or compact RN license and EPIC experience.

Details

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on staffing and patient volume
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Requires 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days every 6 weeks
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• May be floated to any campus within the health system as needed
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG monitoring
• Experience in triage and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of cases including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric emergencies
• Work within a Level I and Level II Trauma Center environment
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
• Complete unit-based orientation modules during onboarding
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; no changes accepted after submission
