Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a NC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on staffing and volume
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6-week period
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No call responsibilities
• May float to any campus within the health system
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with blood product administration and central line care/management
• Experience with EKG/dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Preferred experience: Charge RN role and Level II Trauma Center setting
• Preferred skills: arterial line management, ICP monitoring, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, triage, and ortho trauma
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (pass/fail, two attempts allowed)
• Current driver's license required to verify address

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic cases
• Work within isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply
• RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
• Education must be third-party verified; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list are not accepted
