Overview

This 13-week travel RN assignment is ideal for an experienced Emergency Department nurse who is confident in trauma care, rapid assessment, and managing a broad range of patient needs. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts in a busy emergency department with opportunities to care for adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.

• Schedule: 36/48 scheduling option; 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,630
• Setting: Level I Trauma Emergency Department
• Patient Volume: Approximately 105 visits per day
• Unit Size: 36 rooms / 36 beds
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred/required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Level I Trauma experience strongly preferred
• Ability to care for a high-acuity patient population in a fast-paced emergency department
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of diagnoses and acuity levels
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and prioritization of patient needs in a high-volume ER
• Stabilize and monitor trauma, medical, and pediatric patients in a Level I Trauma setting
• Manage dysrhythmias, IV therapy, blood products, and ventilated patients as needed
• Support trauma interventions including arterial line management, central line care, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and other support teams
• Provide compassionate, efficient care while helping maintain a safe and organized emergency department workflow
