Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level II Trauma Emergency Department night shift position requiring EPIC charting experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Level II Trauma Center that is also STEMI and Stroke certified
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1845-0715
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment with no exceptions and no block schedule

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required in hand
• NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 5 years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Skilled in emergency care across pediatrics, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic conditions
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency medication administration
• Experience managing shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Proficient in triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of medical, surgical, psychiatric, and trauma cases
• Required orientation modules are completed and signed off by facility managers, averaging 8-12 hours to complete
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being considered for rehire as a traveler
• All RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of submission and cannot be modified afterward
