Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Current acute care experience must be recent and consistent within the last 12 months
• Epic charting experience required
• Valid RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Experience with IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Strong clinical skills in emergency nursing, including dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:4
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Applicants must be comfortable with fast credentialing timelines and required pre-start compliance steps

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to emergency patients with complex oncology-related needs
• Perform triage, assessment, and ongoing monitoring in a high-acuity emergency department setting
• Start and maintain IV access and administer emergency medications as ordered
• Manage telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Support patients requiring respiratory assistance, IV vasopressors, and blood product administration
• Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias, stroke symptoms, and other emergent conditions
• Assist with ABG interpretation, EKG/ECG acquisition, and other essential ED interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Follow isolation precautions, safety protocols, and unit-based standards of care
• Contribute to a positive patient experience while thriving in a specialized, fast-moving environment
