Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950
- Location: Everett, Washington
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights; mid/evening shifts, 2:30 p.m.–3:00 a.m.
- Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week; 36 hours per week
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 4:1
- Department Profile: 79-room Emergency Department with approximately 220 visits per day
- Trauma and Specialty Services: Level II adult trauma, Level III pediatric trauma, primary stroke receiving, thrombectomy, and STEMI receiving services
- Charting: Epic
- Float: May be required based on operational needs
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; an active compact license must be in hand when applicable
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) or Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Recent Epic electronic health record charting experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- ENPC certification or an equivalent pediatric emergency certification preferred; required if specified by assignment validation
- Experience in a Level II trauma environment preferred
- Strong clinical background in adult and pediatric emergency care
- Ability to manage high-acuity patients, support weekend coverage, and adapt to changing Emergency Department needs
Travel Emergency Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, reassessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring for patients with varying acuity levels
- Care for patients experiencing stroke, STEMI, trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, behavioral health emergencies, and other critical conditions
- Manage ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, arterial lines, central lines, IV vasopressors, continuous sedation, blood products, and procedural sedation
- Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases while promptly identifying changes in patient condition
- Initiate and maintain IV access, administer medications, and follow isolation and personal protective equipment (PPE) precautions
- Participate in trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergency response activities
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Use de-escalation techniques and maintain a calm, therapeutic environment during behavioral health encounters
- Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions in Epic
