Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Everett, Washington

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced ED nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment caring for adult and pediatric patients across a broad range of acuity levels, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, behavioral health, and critically ill patients.

Travel RN Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950
  • Location: Everett, Washington
  • Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
  • Start Date: October 26, 2026
  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
  • Shift Hours: Approximately 4:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m.
  • Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Weekend Coverage: Required
  • Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2-week period
  • Patient Population: Neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
  • Department Profile: Approximately 220 visits per day in a 79-room Emergency Department
  • Charting: Epic
  • Orientation: 24 hours

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience
  • Active Washington RN license or compact license in hand at submission
  • Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
  • ENPC or equivalent pediatric emergency certification preferred or required based on assignment review
  • Recent Epic charting experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers may be considered with strong qualifying experience
  • Experience in a Level II adult trauma or Level III pediatric trauma environment preferred
  • Ability to float to nearby sister departments or facilities when needed
  • Strong flexibility for weekend and holiday scheduling
  • Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, timely, and compassionate emergency care for patients ranging from low acuity to critically ill
  • Perform rapid triage, focused assessments, reassessments, and ongoing stabilization
  • Care for patients experiencing stroke, STEMI, trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, behavioral health emergencies, and acute-care boarding
  • Manage ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, arterial lines, central lines, and blood products
  • Perform and monitor procedural sedation, start and maintain IV access, interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias, and support emergency interventions
  • Provide care in a primary stroke receiving and thrombectomy-capable environment, as well as a STEMI receiving setting
  • Use sound clinical judgment during high-acuity situations, including resuscitation and trauma response
  • Apply effective de-escalation techniques and maintain a safe environment for behavioral health patients
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
  • Document assessments, interventions, medication administration, and patient outcomes accurately in Epic
