Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position on night shift, requiring an active MI license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting providing around-the-clock emergent care for minor and severe injuries and illnesses
• 10-bed unit with newborn-to-geriatric patient population
• 4:1 patient ratio
• Uses Paragon EMR
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Required to work every third weekend and every other holiday
• No on-call requirements
• Blue scrubs dress code

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS (ENPC accepted in place of PALS), TNCC, ENPC, and BLS (AHA)

Additional Information

• Coordinate total nursing care for ED patients, including patient and family education
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team members
• Maintain professional nursing standards in accordance with ANA and Michigan Public Health Code guidelines
• Ensure patient rights, privacy, and mutual goal setting between nurse and patient
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
